'Tragic' Death of 7-Year-Old Blamed on Teen Son: Defense

The defense delivered its opening statement Tuesday in the trial of Timothy Hauschultz, who is accused of killing his 7-year-old great-nephew, Ethan Hauschultz, found dead in a Wisconsin snowbank in April 2018. The defense argued that Timothy did not kill Ethan and instead blamed his teenage son, Damien, who was reportedly supervising the children as they carried heavy logs as punishment. Damien was convicted in Ethan's death and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
