During cross-examination of Alleigha Botner, the defense asked her about several Google searches she made after Ashley Flynn was murdered in her home in February 2026. Some of those searches included her name and Ashley Flynn's name, homicides in America that are still unsolved, and "stories of a wife being murdered and no suspect found." Botner also discussed the interviews that she did with the FBI and how she lied to them during the first interview. She also reportedly told them that she believed Caleb killed his wife because "it was too much of a coincidence."
