Patrick Clancy Insisted Wife Wasn't Bipolar, Nurse Testifies

A psychiatric nurse who treated Lindsay Clancy testified about a December 2022 appointment where bipolar disorder was discussed. Clancy is accused of killing her three young children in January 2023, while her defense argues she was suffering from severe postpartum mental illness. The nurse told jurors that Lindsay attended the appointment with her husband, Patrick Clancy, who said, My wife is not bipolar. Although Lindsay was reportedly experiencing symptoms including lack of sleep, racing thoughts, and difficulty concentrating, the nurse testified that she did not meet the diagnostic criteria for bipolar disorder at that time.
